Experienced Producer

We’re looking for a new project manager to strengthen our team. Why did we put producer in the job title? Because at Captains, project managers are producers.

Solliciteren
Who are we looking for?

You…

  • Are an organisational talent. In your friend friend group, you’re known as the one who arranges everything
  • Have at least 4 years of relevant demonstrable work experience, at least 2 of which as a producer
  • Are not averse to hard work and understand that a shoot on Monday sometimes means the last things have to be arranged in the weekend
  • You know how to deal with an ocean of freedom. You are able to prioritise and plan your time. You can manage on your own
  • Feel responsible for the goals and mission of the organisation
  • Have your driving license B

And this is what you will be doing

Vacancy

We are looking for a producer, who has run independent productions in recent years. Someone who loves to be on set and who wants to continue doing so, just not on a daily basis anymore. We are looking for someone who is ready to go more in depth and who wants to do project management alongside production. Someone who doesn’t get fazed by a large production like Força Koeman, but is able to get just as much (or more) fulfilment from raising our production team to a higher level.

We work in a creative environment, where the added value sometimes comes from free spirits; filmmakers, directors, editors and creative directors. It may sound like a paradox, but we also want to have a smart structure, financial insight and strict deadlines. We want to be the media company of the future, not a rogue group of creators. Your talent lies in the fact that despite all those hard-to-manage creatives, you bring smart insights regarding time management and project results and that you radiate calm for both Captains and our clients. You’re the eye of the hurricane.

You enjoy planning teams effectively, making and guarding budgets, but at the same time are also able to arrange productional matters for film days. You understand our motto that happy Captains create happy customers, and will eventually also lead to financial results. Your colleagues are your priority.

What do we offer?

  • A full time job (40 uur).
  • A dedidacted and cheerful team
  • A lot of freedom. You determine your own working hours, make your own investments and hire colleagues. The opportunity to make many decisions
  • A pleasant work environment. We don’t have any managementlayers and find happy colleagues to be the most important
  • Plenty of room to grow
  • A massage every month, a yearly workspace in the sun
  • Unlimited vacation days – you know best what works for you
Who will be your colleagues?
Why do you work at Captains?

Because Captains makes you feel like Captains is yours.

What did you do before this?

I worked for different big television production companies in Amsterdam and Hilversum

Sports, gaming and exploring.

Frank van der Stelt (25)

Producer
Why do you work at Captains?

Because the work environment is very nice and the entire team is ambitious.

We work on a basis of trust and look at people’s strengths.

But the main reason is our really fun football team, where everyone can come and join in.

What did you do before this?

I worked as an assistant-accountant for 6 years at an accounting firm in The Hague.

What do you do in your free time?

Spend as much time as I can with family and friends.

Nada Kreber (27)

Financial controller
Why do you work at Captains?

I could have said that “after months of applying for jobs, my application with Jop and Remy was the first one that got me excited. Their ambition is more contagious than the delta variant, and I also got the impression that they knew how to deal with a recalcitrant guy like me.” But they didn’t hire me at the time…

What did you do before this?

After finishing my business economics study at Erasmus University I ended up at a startup in The Hague. But after a year and a half I decided I wanted to know what it’s like to have more colleague’s other than your boss.

What do you do in your free time?

I try to play on the Captains Futsal team (as a korfball player), try to make my fixer-upper house habitable, and listen to (live) music.
